Load your coordinate data into NABIS

1)

This step is optional. You may copy a NABIS data loading spreadsheet template onto your PC. The spreadsheet template will contain example data and instructions. It is designed to help you format your data in a format compatible with NABIS. Note that the template is an MS-Excel spreadsheet and contains macros. If you decide that for security reasons you do not wish to copy a spreadsheet containing macros onto your PC, then you do not need to do this step.

Select the appropriate spreadsheet template from the 3 listed below, enter your data into the spreadsheet template, then save the spreadsheet template.

Select the file in which your data is stored (note: valid types are .xls or .csv):
By default NABIS data loading spreadsheet templates are stored in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Shared Documents
3) Have NABIS check the format of your file (click here for help on accepted formats) and load up the first few lines of data for you to see:  
4) Enter a title for the data layer that NABIS will create from your file, this will be used in the legend:
5) The column of your spreadsheet that the Latitude (north/south) data is stored in is:
6) The column of your spreadsheet that the Longitude (east/west) data is stored in is:
7) The column of your spreadsheet that the displayed Label data is stored in is (For no label enter "0"):
8) Select whether points are joined and how:
9) Select a display format for points and lines:
Point/Line colour Point style Line style
10) Select the maximum number of rows that can be loaded (loading more than 100 rows will be slow):
11) Select whether points outside the New Zealand region can be loaded:
(note: the New Zealand region is between 20°S and 60°S and between 150°E and 205°E)
12) Load and display the spreadsheet:
